Specifically, theirs is the best I&#8217;ve ever tasted, and was the subject of one of my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/2012\/12\/10\/best-bite-10-garlic-bread-michael-jordans-steak-house\/\" title=\"2012 Best Bite #10: Garlic bread, Michael Jordan\u2019s Steak House\">very first blog posts<\/a> (thankfully, I finally have a better photo). The blue cheese fondue poured over the top was just as luscious this time around, and made a wonderful start to our meal. Fittingly, dinner ended with cheese as well: the mascarpone cheesecake had an enchantingly airy texture, with two kinds of sunny orange to cut the sweetness and a little extra punch from the fresh mint.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3545\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3545\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/michaeljordanscheesecake.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/michaeljordanscheesecake.jpg\" alt=\"Mascarpone cheesecake, Michael Jordan&#039;s\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3545\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/michaeljordanscheesecake.jpg 540w, http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/michaeljordanscheesecake-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.hillaryproctor.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/michaeljordanscheesecake-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3545\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mascarpone cheesecake with blood orange curd, graham crumb, and cara-cara oranges<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Other notes:<\/strong> Michael Jordan&#8217;s is a steak house, after all, so my sky-high, mid-rare filet was another knockout \u2013 though that smoked garlic jus on the plate would even have made a basketball taste good. The salad course was a nice surprise, a healthy wedge of gem lettuce surrounded by heirloom cherry tomatoes, onion straws, and a not-too-thick buttermilk-scallion dressing.
